I just purchased a SR9 and will be buying a holster for it. I am looking for an outside waistband holster in the $30 to $50 range. I have been surfing the net and will probably end up with a Kydex type holster.

I would appreciate any recommendations as to what to buy and what not to buy from those with personal experience.

Thx

I bought the one from Ruger web site (kYDEX) paddle and I love it. I have it for my SR9c but I'm sure there is one for the SR9. I think it was less than $30 ($24.29)
Most of the time I us the Galco IWB holster for concealed carry (Glock 26) size I think.

I like this one: Item #440 - Lightning Two Way Holster

Go here (http://www.cowboyneeds.com/tk_holsters.html) and take a look at all of their offerings.

This is the holster that I will be ordering. It is similar to the crossbreed, but it looks to be a bit better, and cheaper.

I when to the indoor range today and bought a Blackhawk! Serpa CQC Holster. It has both belt loop and paddle. Time will tell if this holster will work for me.

First time out for my new SR9. 99 out of 100 rolls with no problem. One misfire while rapid firing. Winchester 9mm Luger ammo. The gun shoots much better than me. Shot low out of the box. I made several sight adjustments and cleared up problem.

I think I'm going to like this gun. I will be using it in an Advanced Funfighting Skills Class that I have enrolled in for this coming March.

I just saw this thread.

I was talking to a guy doing IDPA and a great rig for competition and carry

I am gong to buy just the holster and magazine pouches. But he said a couple top competetors are using it, the price is good. He also asked what one carried for normal daily carry and he said the paddle holster he competes with

I got a Don Hume J.I.T. Slide #36 for @ $17 from Midway USA and I love it. They have a matching mag holster, so for @ $40 you get a great setup.

I also have a Fobus Roto Holster that's pretty darn good too.
