Just wanted to share my SR9 experience thus far. Bought the gun after reading some good reviews. Then started reading some concerns on here about ftf or ftes. I've put about 300 rounds of federal through so far without an issue. For all those considering a full size SR, it's a great choice. Im really glad I chose a Ruger!

Quite simply... the best all-around semi auto I've ever owned. Well over 1000 rounds through my SR9 and still chugging away without incident. The only 9mm I've ever owned that is more accurate is the S&W 639. 18 rounds and easier to carry than my fave steel frame S&W, I'm very happy with the SR9. My only issue with the SR9 is aesthetics, the creepy striker cover, the hokey chamber FLAG and mine is OD green. But who cares, it's flawless and on target all day long. Probably the best gun for the money out there.

Mine kept on light striking every other round sent back to Ruger last week getting back this Friday hopefully performs like most everyone else's that has had great success with theirs.

UPDATE: Got it back Friday and shot 50 rounds of Blazer ammo and 50 rounds of UMC Remington 115 Grain no hiccups.

I do have to share this. I own 2 SR9's because I made the mistake of letting my wife shoot mine. I own a total of 16 handguns, S&W, Kahr,......, 6 of which are 9mm's. Some of the guns are worth well over 1K and more. I say this not to brag by any means, but to make a point. I have had 4 people come to me in the last 1 1/2 years looking for help to purchase their 1st handgun. With all 4, I take them out to shoot any number of my guns they want and explain the difference and answer the questions. By no means do I sell or try and influence the SR9. All 4 purchased SR9's. I have to say when you look at all aspects, it is very hard, if not impossible to beat. Fair price, made in USA, excellent customer service, 17 + 1 in a grip that is exceptionaly thin, very accurate, best striker trigger I own, and at least both mine have gone bang every single time (probably 2500 rds). These are also the least modified guns I own. They both have night sights and a laser, no Wolff springs, no Galloway,...... Gotta luv em.

I picked up my very first gun (SR9) used about a month ago. Have since shot about 600rds through it with freedommunitions reloads and some herters brass I got from cabelas all 115gr, not a single hiccup.

300 rounds total , one jam probably due to me limp wristing that one shot. All in all good day. Found out UMC is great clean ammo compared to the cheap Federal blue box, and Blazer.
