I have thought about upgrading the trigger of my SR762 for a month or two now. The stock trigger is not all that great and I'm sure can be improved for example by installing a Timney trigger. Anyone done this? I'm not certain which model of the Timney trigger I should order. At times (some models) they are out of stock at Midway. I'm fairly sure I need the small pin AR-15 three or four pound trigger. Anyone can help advise on this I'd really appreciate it. Has anyone heard anything further on the magazine issues that cropped up when this rifle was first released? Mine, knock on wood, is working just fine. Thanks. Gerry

I like the Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA®) trigger. I put one in my SR556 and it was a very simple install, much easier than the Timney.

I buy the Rock River Arms two stage from these guys - they're in Plaistow or Rye or Hampton IIRC. $89.00 shipping included is a pretty good deal.

I have a few other triggers, but the RRA works fine all the time. If you'd like something different check out Hiperfire. Check out Brownells for the Timney, it's a fine single stage trigger and easy to install. Same goes for Chip McCormick's trigger. Your AR should use the small pin - that's pretty much universal for the newly made ARs.

Thanks guys, for your suggestions. Quite a bit of these parts are "out of stock" at Midway, Giessele, Brownells, etc. I was surprised by the high level demand. In any case I have taken the advice of mishtub and ordered a Geissele 3-gun SSA trigger. (In stock!) Looking forward to a little "experimenting" next week - if not snowed in. Thanks again. Gerry
