SR40c Magazine Capacity

I recently bought an SR40c (black) in CA. There are two model numbers for the black SR40c listed on the Ruger website. The BSR 40c is NOT approved for sale in CA. The BSR 40c-9L IS approved. The approved version comes with two 9 round magazines. The unapproved version comes with one 9 round mag and one 15 round mag. Is this the only difference? I will be moving to Texas in a few months and would like to know if a 15 round magazine (legal there, not here) will fit in my CA-approved model.

Yes you can use the 15 round magazine in Texas. I don't live there but its a pretty good place to be in terms of firearm restrictions. Welcome back to the United States lmao. Sorry couldn't resist taking a shot at sunny cali :D.

Yes, same pistol just different mags. When you get to Texas just order a 15 round mag and don't forget to order the sleeve that slides on the 15 round mag, the grip will then feel the same as the full size Sr40.
