SR40 brass eject

I have tried searching for an answer, but find nothing.

My SR40 ejects brass almost as far as it throws bullets!

Is there some sort of fix that will tame how far the empty brass is thrown? People at the bench to the right of me get tired of being hit with hot brass, and it takes all day to police up all that scattered brass.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I don't hav any suggestions, but lets us know if you figure it out. I always try to get the lane all the way to the right, and I still manage to loose the brass to an exhaust vent that is there

i installed 24# recoil springs from galloway precision. helps quite a bit. tried 22# first but 24 worked better. moved the 22# to my SR9.

Guess I'll have to call Galloway.

Did you get the whole guide rod/spring assembly, or just replace the spring?

the 22# is a captive setup however the 24# is not. galloway is a very good firm to deal with, i have been well satisfied with their products.
