SR1911 CMD

Finally decided which pistol to take to the range for some casual target/plinking; Ruger SR1911CMD. Colt 7 round mags, 2 boxes each of PMC ball, PMC HP, Blazer aluminum case, Reminton "Target", Aguila, & Speer. Weather has been fairly decent for a week, anticipated some fun range time. Everything going extremely well, nice groups (IMO), hitting 100 yard steel plate, golf balls at 15 yards. On last box of ammo, suddenly sky is black, rain coming down hard & fast, wind blowing it at me, glasses fogging up. oh well, gun working great, fired last rounds kind of quickly thru wet gun. All ammo gone, sigh; put gun in case, sweep up brass (in the rain), turn in range vest and go home.

It Was a Fun day at the range. Now to decide which pistol to take next time.

Sounds like a fun day! How many pieces of brass did you lose? Losing one won't ruin the fun I had shooting, but the rest of the day really sucks :mrgreen:

At least your SR1911 is fairly weatherproof even if you're not. LOL!
