Years ago I had a Springfield 1911 Brazilian import. I bought it for $350 and had a smith do a trigger job. I shot that Springfield better than my buddy did with his Colt NM. I currently own a CMD - had it since June of this year. I like the way the CMD feels in my hands. It shoots well, no mis-feeds but the trigger had a bit of creep in it even after 300 + rounds. RUGER CS was excellent but did not improve the trigger for me. I ended up buying a Wilson Combat deluxe sear which immediately improved the trigger break. No creep. Direct drop in with the stock hammer. I haven't decided if this one is a keeper.

My SR1911CMD is impressive for the price. I have not made any changes in it yet except grips.

That's most likely why it continues to function properly.
