Get it. You will be pleased. I've stopped shooting my other 9mm pistols since I got this. I'm afraid when my CZ P10C gets in the Ruger will be feeling the same loneliness as my other 9mm pistols.
I am probably going to buy one. Have several SR1911CMDs in 45ACP. Friend bought one and it is nice. He has tried all sorts of JHP ammo and has gone bang all the time. I got to shoot about a 100 rounds of 115gr FMJ through it and was impressed.
I picked up a SR1911 Ltwt in 9mm last fall. Am a stickler for adjustable sights
and having a piece hit the center at 25 yards. In the past, I have gotten rid
of a number of 1911's w/ fixed sights that shot way too low or otherwise.
SURPRISE: the fixed-sight Ltwt. 9mm was in the "black center" when sand-bagged
at 25 yards. No adjustment needed. Am a happy camper and it fits nicely next to
5 other 1911's.
In fact, I was so impressed with the 9mm, I just added a new SR1911 "Target
version" in .45 acp to the mix. Just sighted it in last week - only needed minor adjusting.
Am happy again!! The latter .45 took the place of a nice older Kimber .45 that I
put up for sale on consignment.
Hitman, what are you using to post your pics (good one BTW)? I lost my whole set of albums when Photobucket changed their policy. I'm not willing to 'ransom' my pics for $500 per year. Thx in advance, Rod
One of the best guns Ruger has produced in decades.
My first centerfire handgun was a Colt Lightweight Commander in 9mm, perfect blue.
Nearly forty years later I am back with the ltwt commander-style 9mm by Ruger. Huh.
wayned,
Not a downgrade, if that is what he wants and it makes him happy.
I own 4 1911s in .45 ACP, 2 in 9MM, 2 in Super .38 and 7 in .22 and
one in .380. I am a happy camper.
