SR 9C Stainless Slide exchange or recovering

Hi...
I'm buying a SR 9C w/SS slide. They're all out of the blued ones.

I can get all blue/black in 40SW ONLY right now. No diff in price either way.

OK... so now what? Can I order a replacement blue slide for this piece?

should I think about having the SR 9C SS slide "coated" by some process?

i ask as I simply do not know if the slides accompanying the SR compact series guns are 'matched' during the build process, whether or not another slide is interchangeable with the orig slide.... and if not... can they be recoated via Saracoating or the like instead?

I'm looking forward to getting this latest Ruger carry gun a lot. I hope it's as good as are it's reports.

gee. this was so easy it pains me no one knew it.

ruger does not replace a ss slide with a non ss slide on the SR series pistols. Period.

If one needs a different color slide than what they originally bought on their SR pistol, they better think along the lines of Ceracoateing it, or selling it and buying another... Ruger ain't a solution.
