I have a chance to buy a new one for about $275. Should I?

At that price, is it hot? I haven't even seen one around here. Based on other threads, 400- 450 seems to be seen as a good price.

Assuming that the gun is in good condition, that's an amazingly low price. If I were made such an offer, I'd want to run the serial number to make sure it wasn't stolen before I'd buy it. If the seller isn't willing to let you do that, walk away.

If that's a new gun, it is worth every penny! I paid $419 at my LGS the second week of January. Hard to believe it could be used already, but you never know. I would not sell mine at that price. I can completely understand why others are asking if it's hot. If it's new and from a gun store, grab it!

i'd jump on that one if it is legit. mine was 469 + tax and i felt good about that.

very likely someone just looking to sell it and dont know what they got. not uncommon really. look at all the people that still bring guns to pawn shops or even regular gun shops, gander mountain, etc... lots of ordinary folks buy guns and then sell them low. i make good money thanks to them heh... ask if they mind if you run the numbers, then buy it. if you dont like it, you can sell it for a profit. especially in these present times. deals like that dont come along every day unless you're running a gun shop or pawn shop.. chris

I know this may be a stupid question but what is the best way to trade or sell a used handgun? I've never done it so I don't know. Any tips would be welcomed from those have been trading/selling for years, or do's and do not's.

I thought I did well when I got mine for $399.

By the way, I love mine after the first 100 rds. (Not enough time to get to range to shoot more.)

You can't pass on that deal even if you don't like the gun or don't like 45 caliber.

Buy low and sell high.Take it to a gunshow and put a slightly high price on it.Always take reasonable offers.If some offers me a price that is within 25-100 of what I want ,I usually take it.Don't sell guns when you really need money,you will take a low offer when you shouldn't.

Alright thanks Blackhawk. I hear all the time of people getting "great trades" and "deals" on used guns and I wonder how when a local chain for instance, openly admits it takes a look at what its worth then offers you %60 of that value. The rest I assume it to be store profit.
