SR Pistol Compatibility

I haven't been quite able to nail down for certain -

I have a Ruger SR 40C and want to add an SR 9C slide and barrel. Works?

I have a full sized SR9 and the "uppers" fit, but fitting is different than working.

I'm in CA, currently the land of $700.00 used SRs and $450.00 P series so having the ability to swap out would be nice.

The SR9C slide and barrel drop on to the 40 frame perfectly. Uses the same recoil spring assembly, but for $8.00 ordered a separate one.

The 9mm barrel drops in and functions fine (snap caps) with the 40 slide. But I figure for the few $$$ more and that it's nice looking stainless, got the 9mm slide. I added s stainless FP spring guide rod, cleaned up the spring and plunger, mag disconnect same as the 40. Nice to be able to use the same lower with the 9mm upper.
