My knowledge of single shots is extremely limited, mostly picked up thumbing through Frank de Haas' "Single Shot Rifles and Actions". Would this be considered a replica of a WR version of the Farquharson falling block? Any more info on the kit manufacturer? Was Action Casting the origin? Thanks!

The WR '97 was sometimes referred to as the Westley Farquharson, but the resemblance is strictly superficial.
It is a much improved and completely different action from the Farq.

Not sure who made it. I did recall once when I ran across a site where a guy was making the actions for a number if old guns, but I cannot recall who he was. He did go out of business so he may not be any help.

Above is a good discription of the action. Ireally don't know a lot about it and no longer have the time to work on the project. So I am selling it under what it cost me.
