Speed Six Question

When i asked about grips for a new to me Speed Six, some forum members said that the 4 " bbl i got is somewhat rare.That is hard for me to believe--i figured that the 4" was the most common' for PD etc. What makes it more rare? It is a stainless 4"bbl 1982 gun Thanks Paul

because most people buying a fixed sighted 4" opted for the square butt Service Six over the Round butt Speed Six.

Round butt (compact) grips are more common on short revolver. I have the opposite oddball guns, Service six square butts with short 2 3/4 barrels.
