anyone know of a source for Speed Six parts--(Security Six) missing some of the cylinder internals, Numrich doesn't have any nor does Brownells, and I can't figure out Bob's Gun Shop web site.
Any help or info is appreciated.

good luck, we recently sent one back to Ruger for work on the cylinder,., and they claimed to no longer have parts or can work on it, so wanted us to remit $$$ to "up grade" to an SP 101 ??????told them no, and to return it, and had to have a bit of "handwork" ( welding) and 'filing' to repair just to make it work again.....oh well
Like the Old Army and the Security Sixes, the gunsmiths around here will buy ANY just to get parts, and they are NOT paying much for any "parts" guns..........

Did you try Ruger?
Try Lee's Gun Parts. Dallas (or Irving) Texas.
Good luck.

Yep, check the post below yours---thanks for the tip on Lee's, do you have to call them to ask about parts or do they have a website that lists what's available:
Thanks for the help

That's a bummer Ruger doesn't still support the 6 series. Bummer that they still don't make them really.
No I think you have to call Lee's.
I don't have his number handy.

You can call Ruger and they may have still have a few parts. I know they do not have the little washer that goes in the ejector mechanism, but they did have the grip locator pins, rear sights (but not front) and a few other odds and ends the last time I called (about 6 months ago).

Also check Gunbroker and eBay (I know, I know) as they do have people selling Ruger parts (for both SA and DA guns) at different times. I have gotten several complete cylinders from those places in the past and other pieces to have for when I refurbish a Six series gun..

I don't think an SP-101 is any kind of an upgrade from a Speed Six. I love shooting my Service Six and it sucks that we may not be able to get them serviced anymore.

These are the boys who "Printed" the 1911.

They may decide there is a market for Ruger internals and scan and run some. It would be a simple but expensive process for ONE part, but not for Many.

Who notes "Gun Parts" should be exploring this, if they have demand tracking software.

What parts are you looking for?

Cylinder internals, was going to take down yesterday to identify what parts are needed, but I fell down and broke my glasses, so it will have to wait till I get a new pair--hopefully, today.

Brownells doesn't even have a schematic for the Security Six, and they proudly display a long list of parts for the GP-100 that are NLA. How's that for dropping the ball? America's #1 supplier of gun parts? The GP is a current model, so how could half the parts be NLA?

For the OP, you will see a schematic of the SS on the Numrich site. What parts do you need? There are no parts inside the cylinder that should ever "wear out" or "break". If someone has fooled with the ejector or the ratchet pads, then forget it. The cylinder and ejector are hand matched, so have a look at a new GP100 and sell the Security Six parts here on the forum.

sorry about that. You may have to buy whole cylinders off of gunbroker and the like to get the parts you need. what parts are you looking for?

Calling ruger may help. They have been able to find some parts for me in the recent months.

Yep, I've downloaded the schematic and the parts list, it appears that the springs and some other parts inside the cylinder barrel are missing, the cylinder, ejector and ratchet pads don't appear to be damaged in any way, and are still on the piece.
Got any suggestions for parts or on the repairs? Any help or info is appreciated.
