that really is nice. I hope Ruger will chamber some more auto rounds in their revolvers in the future.
Charter Arms has a .40 cal and may be releasing a 9mm and potentially a .45 ACP. They do not use "moon clips" for extraction.

. I have one just like yours, i.e. the security six. IYO, what is it worth?
I'm confused, do you have a Speed Six in 9mm, or a Security Six?
9mm Speed Sixes aren't often seen, but value is difficult to guess sight unseen, as there are so many things that will affect it.
I think $500 is a fairly safe number if it has the box and papers. Less if you want a quick sale.

I think it's a Speed Six. I inherited a raft of Rugers from my brother and father. It takes me a while to go through things.
There are some Service Six (sq. butt, fixed sight) 9mm out there. I have 4" blued one.
I have not seen nor heard of a Security Six in 9mm (sq. butt, adj. sight) but I have learned to never say never when it comes to Ruger.
No reason they might not have made one up - would have been 'off the shelf' parts.

Rode nice tonight in my back pocket when I was out for a walk earlier tonight, too.
I gotta say...I must live under a rock, here in WI...cuz I sure don't see the "spread" that I figure some of you must, when it comes to buyin' guns...

I don't mind sharing... I paid $575 for this one.
Seemed a bit high to me, but I thought about how many like this I've seen for sale and decided the price was fine.
I know lots of folks have wide-ranging opinions on what a gun is worth, but as long as I can still eat and look at myself while I'm shaving, I'm good.

In my opinion you made a very good buy. I value the 9mm's from $600.00 to $750.00 depending on condition and total package.

PS- the only RDA-94 I know of was a prototype which sold for $1500.00 in 2008. Mentioned on page 271 of RENE.

Anyone know of any agencies that used 9X19 revolvers as standard officer issue? I've heard of agencies that issued autoloaders using small frame 9X19 wheelguns as backups.

I bought one about 7 months ago on GB Had the box, papers, wood grips, 1/2 moon clips and the exact rubber ruger grips as yours.
Paid $600 in my hands. Was happy to find it, and would never let it go.

Forgot to mention, the only thing I felt needed changing for me, was a red ramp front sight. I installed one, as it is much easier for me to pick up than the factory sight. Bear in mind, it is a personal preference, and not to everyones liking.

I bought my Stainless 9mm Speed Six July of 2011 from a local national chain pawn shop for $405 OTD. I thought we had a deal for $400 OTD but they charged me the $5 call-in on top of it. I did not complain too much as I had been haggling with a local fellow on one on and off for some time and we could never get below $600. After I got mine I contacted him and he said he had gotten his price, $600+something for his. I had been watching them on GB too (ain’t no $425 9mm Speed Sixes on GB). The lady at the pawn shop said, “oh yeah, that is that odd one”. She went on to say “a lot of people have looked at it and handed it back when they see the caliber”. I just whipped out the plastic and helped them free up the shelf space by taking the strange thing home. Mine is in good condition but was nasty dirty when I got it. Was fitted with a dadgum trigger shoe that hung out past the trigger guard on each side. I am not sure what the previous owner was thinking. A target 9mm snubbie revolver I guess? Anyway, the OP got a great gun at a fair price with the box and papers.
