I`ve decided to purchase some speed loaders for my GP and since I`ve never owned any I thought I`d get some recommendations...

I`ve read that HKS makes good loaders so I`ll probably choose those unless there`s something better but I just saw Bianchi strip loaders that I wasn't aware of...Which do you like and which has the advantage...

It looks like the strips would be easier to carry being that they're flat but the HKS look to be a faster load?

I have the hks loaders for both my gp100 and srh, they work great. i have never had any problem with them. I have not used the strips before, seem like reloading would take longer with them.

Either one is going to depend on your preference and how much you practice and become proficient. The grips on the GP are rather large so the speedloaders go in at a little bit of an angle. Google is your friend on this one and you can find several videos on how to use them.

Neither one are super expensive so you should be able to buy both and see what you like best. From a practicality standpoint, do you really think you're going to be in a situation where there are so many ninja zombies attacking that you need to reload? :lol:

Fast = Safariland choices

Secure = HKS

Flat fit = Speed strips

I've used HKS loaders since 1976 and never had cartridges inadvertantly spilled.

I have both the Safariland Comp II and the HKS Speedloaders (for my Police Service-Six), and I actually like the Safariland Speedloaders the best. Speedloaders are a hassle to carry unless you get one of those (leather) speedloader belt carriers where 3 go on the inside of the belt, and 3 go on the outside of the belt (Split-Six). For me, I just carry my speedloader in my jacket pocket.

I`ve got this idea that those ninja zombies each take more than one shot to put them out of commission :)

Myself and a few friends that have revolvers and semi-autos want to see how revolvers compete with semis in accurately shooting targets at least 12 times.

I totally agree with WESHOOT2 !

The Safarilands have a push-to release system & are easily tripped to dump!!

The HKS are a bit more secure ,with less wiggle on the cases & with practice ya can speedload wadcutters!!

strips are used when I can`t conceal a HKS speedloader.

I use HKS, tuff products speed strips, and five star aluminum speedloaders for my SP01.

HKS- are for the house and are loaded with 38 special +p
Tuff products is what I carry normally
five start- are for the house and are loaded with .357

The two speedloaders look and feel really different which allows me to distinguish between the two easily.

here is the site for the five start speedloaders

I use both Bianchi speed strips and HKS speed loaders.

For something different you can put two speedloaders in the 10/22® Leather Magazine Belt Pouch.

Hello to fellow forum members (and thanks for all the info I got here when unregistered).

I use SL Variant speed loaders for SP-101 and (still) HKS for GP-100.

SL Variant are far, far preferable: faster release with no need to twist the release knob, and cartridges are very secure (no accidental release). That said, HKS are not bad, it is just that SL Variant are better.
