First time in history. Republican party is it's own worst enemy. You can't expect to get all of your policies enacted with an evenly split government. Certain amount of compromise is necessary. Conservatives just keep shooting themselves in the foot.

I agree that there shooting them selfs in the foot. true...true! but he broke his word to get there to begin with! so...so standing up on principles / promises made / breaking your word? is ok? then I don't want to be right. how can you trust a guy that lied to you? hurt the GOP yes. short term. maybe it helps the USA in the long run? who knows. wait and see. GOP with still be in control of house. maybe someone with alittle more back bone. just my 2 cents.

He could win the Speakership back. Everyone is eligible, so until somebody wins the vote it's a giant cage match.
