SP101 grips

Are there full size grips available for the SP101? Are the grips from the GP100 compatible with the SP101?

Grips for the GP100 do not fit the SP101, but a company called Trausch makes grips for the SP101 that are more handfilling and may be a candidate for you.

I went with the Hogue Monogrip for my 4.20" .357 and I'm very happy with it. I loved the look of the stock grips and the textures, but the shape didn't feel right to me The gun fits much more comfortably and securely for me with the Hogues.

Not sure how big your hands are. That will effect what grips you like. For me, I really liked the factory grips on my 4" 357, but my middle finger didn't. I can't change my grip, I've buggered my hand, so proper gripping can't happen. Being a little shallow and liking pretty wood, I went with a pair of lovely wood finger grooved grips. A couple boxes of 158 grain full house loads and that changed my mind. It now wears Hogue rubber grips. The pretty wood ones are on my 22. Went through about two hundred rounds the other day and I'm happy.

You might take a look at Herrett as they will make grips to fit your hand and will recommend a style for your hand and gun. I think Eagle may make a target style grip for the SP, too. At one time there was a maker in Thailand that offered target style grips for SP's.

I have the Hogues in wood on my pair of 327 SP101, BUT the wood grips that are fine on the 327 are hard on the hands for a 357. For that, unless you are more immune to recoil than I am, yo uneed the rubber ones. But the wood ones are much prettier and feel better than rubber.

Not only that, but they will leave off the finger grooves if requested and size them to your hand. To do this you need buy directly from Jim Badger.

The Hogue grips are nice in exotic woods. I have a very nice chunk of coco bolo that feels like my hand molded it. The grips plus the Hybraports really tames this little beast plus it looks good as well. The rubber grips seem to snag on everything.
