Saw a SP101 4" in a pawn shop today. They were too busy with the monday morning traffic to ask about the caliber. It looked to be in good+ condition but needed a good cleaning. They are trying to get $379.

It looks quite different than the 3.2.

Are these rare?

Not sure of rarity but I believe 4" SP101's are either .22 or .32H&R. The .22's I've seen have been going anywhere from $450 - $650. There is a .22 in the BST now. There was also a member here trying to sell/trade a .32H&R. Not sure if he did or not. For that price though I'd probably snatch it up.

I returned to the scene of the pawn and it is a 22LR. Good/Fair condition. It should clean up ok since it is stainless.

I was hoping it would have been 9mm.

No no dont "run back and buy it"... just PM me with the phone number to this place that's trying to rip you off... I will have a chat with them about his high way robbery!

Just kidding, if it is the .22 and in good shape its a deal.. get it if you want it, not easy to come by with out selling an arm and leg.

did a search and found this thread. seems appropriate.

found a guy selling a 4 inch sp101 .22lr. mint condition with box/docs. he wants $500 cash (private sale).

is $500 appropriate?

In My Experience... Are they worth it? Nope!

But, I would not sell mine for 500 dollars. And, if I wanted another one, I could not find one today, for 500 dollars. So, if you're looking for one, and you've got one in the hand for $500, ya better jump on it, because if the word gets out, it will be gone.

WAYNO.

so the guy is willing to take $450 for it. gun is mint, and comes with a set of trausch grips.

don't really need it, but i figure i can't lose money on this deal. and i've wanted a .22 revolver for a while, so what the heck..

Not from Utah are you? If so, its gone... just picked one up off of KSL for the same price.. again not sure if it was the same one, but I snagged it at 10 this morning. Hopefully I did not just ruin it for a fellow member. Sorry if I did. If not look for my post about it soon.

yeah he emailed me yesterday and said someone offered him his asking price of $500. no worries. found something else i wanted a little more today, actually.

congrats! can't wait to see your range report.

So what did you get? I just made my post, I am camping this weekend but might take it out with me as there is plenty of space to shoot around here as you know. I'll be out near Kamas if your in the area, let me know.

you camping up along hwy 150? funny you mention that, because i'm going fishing saturday up at wall lake lol

Not sure where exactly yet. I want to head further north near Whitney reservoir but the girl likes it lower near cobblerest or mill hollow. Have a few friends with property to shoot at. Love the area. Ill PM later.

cool. i caught a couple trout last weekend at mill hollow. fishing has slowed down there recently because of an algae bloom, so the water is really murky.
