SP 101 and custom grips

I am new to the forum and would like to share a pic of some grips I made.It took me three trys and a lot of sawdust, but finaly got the right tools and workflow in place. I have always dabbled in woodworking and have been making custom fishing rods for 35 years, and thought I might get my feet wet in grips. I may have some available for sale down the road.

Welcome to the forum. Very nice job on the grips! I too do a little woodworking but the cherry grips I made for my Blackhawk aren't ready for "prime time".

I would be interested in seeing some of you rods if you could post in the Gallery Section.

Oh, by the way I'm sure you will be forgiven for having the Glock in the picture. Just kidding.

Those are really nice grips on that sp101. They look like they give you alot of purchase onto the grip with better control.

Very nice work on the grips and the fly rods. I'm a woodworker too, and will eventually get around to making some grips.

Regarding hand-made fly rods, I have a 4wt 7.5ft split-bamboo, made by a guy in Wallkill NY. It's a thing of beauty.
