For my daily devotions I began to read the Book of Genesis this morning. As I read the part, "They were both naked and not ashamed..............", this though came to me"

Many mornings while sitting on a deer stand or under a hickory nut tree, I'v tried to imagine what it would be like to sit there naked in those woods. Naked, and without boots. Hickory nuts, pecans, and acorns abound under the bed of leaves. Blackberry vines lull across your path and even haul you up short, even when well dressed. Early in squirrel season, mosquitoes delight in buzzing around your ears.

I don't dwell on that though too long. The idea of my sitting there in those woods naked is just..............well, horrifying!

Have a great day!

One can only assume that, pre-snake, there were no such hazards present in the Garden of Eden, where everything was perfect.

Pre-snake? Seems there might have been at least one present.

I was raised in wisconsin. Then I worked in Yosemite and the Grand Tetons for the NPS. After that I had a job treating old utility poles all over the states. On that job we worked wherever the lines took us through the woods. The job took me to Louisiana for my first experience down south. I soon got the impression that everything I touched would prick, bite, scratch or infect me plus absolutely nothing was safe from the locals eating it.

My wife and I went to a clothing optional campground one time. It is all lots of fun until you get a seed tick inside your bellybutton. And many people really should not be seen naked, we aint sexy anymore.

Bob, that's why I said "pre-snake". We'd have to assume that all was well before the serpent showed up. Interestingly, we'd also have to assume the serpent was "placed" there intentionally as a test for Eve . . . right? :)

You can pick up ticks when fully clothed. Tick checks are easier when you aren't wearing anything. I've been a naturist for many years, once attended a gathering with 600+ other people--couples, families, and a few singles. IT'S NOT ABOUT SEX! It's about meeting good people and fully enjoying the sun and wind. It's like shooting---you can't understand the attraction until you try it.

There might have been a snake around but that was before they were cursed. I tend to think they were a different creature then than now. I understand what you are saying quite well Bob ,(my boy wanted me to go walk the little trails behind the house with him yesterday. I told him it isn't a good idea to go woods walking in short pants), but depending on the climate & conditions that were there then it may have been very different.

I remember in school they showed us some films & talked about a people called the Tasaday in the Philippines that were still living in a more primitive culture. I somewhat thought Adam & Eve might have been living in a somewhat similar manner.

As for the pecans and acorns.... yes, I have tender feet... but I know of people who it seems have tough feet.... for anyone that can...come to an East Coast Ruger Forum gathering and you'll see for yourself...

I'm a very shy person... .but I'll tell you... I spent a couple days last year naked as a jay bird and having people look at what ever they chose to on me.... and I was very grateful for their professionalism.... Now that I'm older and not nearly as stupid as I was 20+ years ago... I put health care professionals up there with Law Enforcement and 1st responders....

Went on a cruise one time and a buddy and I were sitting by the pool. As we sat there noticing that most of the people were pretty gross to see in a swimsuit. Then my buddy commented" Isn't like the brosheer is it".

I said similar a few days ago to the wife. There was a tv commercial showing a bunch of beauty's frolicking in a Casino I have been in a bunch. When I go there all I see is a bunch of old goats and the ones that arent look like walmart rejects.
