Somebody Please Explain

Yucky lock thing. It has infected all the SAs I think. Adds a 1 to the SN prefix and model number too. I'm only saying so because knowing that makes it easierest to ignore some of the offerings on Ruger's site when the list is really long (like the New Model Blackhawk page)....

I was not aware of the meaning of the L in the models. I did think it was funny that your handle is Lamplighter and your most frequented forum in your profile is the Lounge.

"Adding a lock to a single action classic, is like...."

Allow me to finish that for you: ...like....not as bad as ruining a double action classic by drilling a hole in the sideplate for a keyhole?

You know almost all my rugers have the locks. They don't bother me in the least. Ruger puts them inside the gripframe and gives you the choice of drilling a hole in one of your grips to use them. Out of sight out of mind and I don't have a hole in any of my grips. Now S&W has a hole in the side of my thousand dollar x frame and I really hate it being there but had no option about it.

Only reason I don't like them ... is they shouldn't be there in the first place.... Simple as that. Might be out of sight ... but not out of 'mind' :) .
