Bought it as a demonstrator model. Fairly scuffed up.
When I got it, it wouldn't feed and the grip safety was loose and rattled in the frame.
I sent it back to Dan Wesson and they recut the feed ramp and replaced both magazines. They did not address the sloppy grip safety fit, so I recut the tangs and fit a Wilson Combat safety and a new Ed Brown Thumb Safety (original thumb safety was an Ed Brown).
I also round butted the grip frame and filed out some machining ridges(lumps) left when they high cut the front strap.

I had to polish it off the slide to take out some scratches so the name isnt there anymore, but the model number is Dan Wesson PM7-40, which I understand is california legal. If that matters to you, please ensure your FFL takes shipments from a) individuals or b) crotchety Texas FFL's who don't feel like doing extra work.

The whole thing needs a glass bead blasting and polishing the slide flats back out in my opinion. I just don't feel like doing it anymore.
It has seen about 400 rounds since the rework. Comes with box and papers, including the repair paperwork from Dan Wesson.

How does it shoot? I recently took it to my CHL requalification where I was (jokingly) accused of shooting blanks beacause my group wasn't opening up after the first 10 rounds as we backed away.

This is my only .40 left since I sold my Glock, I have 500+ rounds of commercial remanufactured ammo and piles of brass if interested.

$800 shipped for the gun. I'd be more than happy to do three easy payments of $267 with the only finance charge being I get to keep shooting it. I would my lady to qualify for her CHL with this piece.

I focused on the areas I worked on in the pics, since those will obviously be the most questionable.

Update - I have dropped the price $100. The magazines will not reliably lock the slide back and therefore appear to need new springs. (4 other makes of magazine lock it back just fine) I think this is inherent to the DW mags, since they already replaced two magazines for me under warranty (which they honored even though I was not the origianl purchaser) I also went over the whole gun frame with 400 grit sandpaper and hit the slide flats with 600 again.
If I wanted a full size 1911 in 10mm, I'd replace the mags and rechamber it to 10mm. I have found I am a commander bobtail guy.
