I have stealth cam fusion max 2 trail cams that I want to pair with Sol-Pak 5x external solar panel/batteries. Am I supposed to remove with the internal battery pack from the cam? I see no mention of the batteries being pass thru. Nor do I see any mention of removing the rechargeable lithium battery pack from the cam prior to plugging in the solar panel/battery.

I’m not sure the exact model I have. It’s my understanding the solar panel does not charge batteries in the camera, it runs the camera during daylight. At night it reverts to the internal system.

Went to Midway Q&A and found that they work as you said. Can't believe I couldn't find the answer on Stealth Cams site or in the nomenclature that came with the products. How long do your internal batteries last running that way?

I haven’t used the solar panel. I looked into it when the thing was 200 miles away. I’ve since put it close by.

I don’t have a trail cam but I have three of my security cams mounted with solar panels. No external battery is used, just the units internal battery when the unit is activated and the sun isn’t shining. The solar panels plug directly into the camera. Solar panels are now cheap and dependable and are a great means to augment a hard wired security system.
