I don't do much shopping at Cabela's, but stopped by on the way back from a college shopping trip (daughter is heading to college next year). My experience with Cabela's guns and pricing has been a bit of a crap shoot - typically see some pretty nice used guns, but typical prices are quite a bit out of whack, marked up some from even retail prices. There was nothing of interest in the long guns, but a nice Redhawk caught my eye in the handgun counter:

Doesn't appear to have ever seen the inside of a holster, and just a slight hint of a turn line. I like Walnut and Blue, so I brought it home. Price on this one I thought was fair - right at $500 otd.

Good deal! I love my stainless .41 ~ hope you have the same results.

Great find, I had the same gun only in stainless and with the factory stocks it slammed the heck out of my thumb which had the knuckle broken long ago. It was bad enough I moved it and the S & W model 58 down the road.

I've got a 5.5" stainless .41 myself. I loved the look and feel of the factory wood grip when I bought it. Carried that gun all over the house dry firing it. Finally got around to live fire. After only a few cylinders... started to actually bleed on the gun from the base of my thumb. Darndest thing.

I had to ignore my aesthetic preferences on that gun and put rubber grips on it.

Sure wish Redhawks used Super Redhawk grips......

At the last Gun Show I went to in West Plains Missouri a couple weeks ago, a dealer had a 41 Mag Hunter on the table. That was the first one of them that I had ever seen. I believe it was stainless.

I won't call that a steal but I'd say it's a more than fair price. Looks in LNIB condition. It's the right caliber in mybook so I'd call it an A+ deal.
