I have a .357 Blackhawk that was in terrible shape when I bought it that I got inexpensively. It needed a Gripframe (GF), and barrel, so since I had all of the parts in stainless (ss) (Super Blackhawk GF, ported fiber optic barrel all ss innards, + ss cylinder) it made no sense to dump dollars into blue so I gave it to a local gunsmith to fit it up with the ss bits.
The results were not good. The cylinder doesn't lock up on one chamber without a deliberate hard cocking pull and the trigger job was not done at all.
I "think" my issues are easily solved and I need a reliable gunsmith who does not have a 6 month++ wait for what I "think" is a relatively minor job. Does anyone have suggestions for a smith with an FFL?
