i just got a blackhawk size 3 pocket holster, it doesn't let the trigger guard go all the way in. the size 4 didn't show the lcr as fit so i got the size 3 cause the package said it would fit. i have never pocket carried so i don't know, is this the way its suppose to fit? i thought everything but the grip should be in the holster. the trigger is in the holster and protected but thats as far as the gun goes in, the grip and a third of the trigger guard is out of the holster. anyone else try the size 3 with a lcr? or do i need a larger size? thanks for any help.

I do not have any of the holsters you are talking about. But I can offer this.
Holster makers TRY to have a model to suit the masses. Many feel the gun should be easily accessible,,, and if too much of the gun is in the holster,,, it's harder to draw. As long as the trigger is covered & protected from an accidental pull, I'd say it's fine.

Uncle Mikes size 4 covers about 4/5 of trigger guard on my LCR. I have it for another gun, but tried it to see.

All carry it's important to have the trigger guard covered, depending on how small your pocket is it's extra important. That being said we are talking about a revolver so if the holster covers back as far as the trigger you should be fine. I use a Desantis Nemesis, below is a internet photo I grabbed but this is how mine looks in the holster...
