Wow!
I could hear the bear before they had footage of it. Of course,, the microphone on the camera wasn't covered like her ears were, but still,, WOW!
She could have had a different outcome for sure. Luckily,, she was skiing fast enough to where the bear couldn't catch her & finally gave up.
Close call!

Agreed, no situational awareness. It's as if they think they are sitting on their patio in their nice fenced in back yard in suburbia.
Luckily she was moving fast and did not fall down.

I was always taught/told that situational awareness is the main key to safety be it walking a street at night, in snake country, driving the freeways, combat, etc.! Been taught by my military instructors, instructors in Federal security classes, combat vets--I can't tell how many!!

We'll be seeing more and more and MORE fake videos (with audio) as AI becomes more widely available. Guessing there will be "verified definitely real for sure" video of Trump wearing a pointy white KKK hood while having sex with Putin, "leaked" before the election this November.

might be fake, but If I was the bear I don't think I would have liked her singing either....
have a good friend who was deer hunting... early evening he shoots a buck and it makes it into some brush before dropping... he gets down out of the stand with his rifle and goes to find the deer... just as he come up on it he hears a noise behind him and a 300lb black bear is coming straight at him about 50ft away.....he lived to tell the story... the bear didn't.

If it IS real she's probably better off she didn't see it. Panic could have gotten her killed just as easy.
Real or fake, she's a noisy little thing regardless.
