Do we have any members in Sioux City? I just purchased a .410 shotgun at a yard sale, and under the buttplate was a small map with very unclear directions to something in South Ravin Park. Anyone care to pursue this mystery?

I paid $100 for the shotgun, so there's no room for profit. It's probably a Crescent, marked "Newport" on one side and "Model MN" on the other. Unlike modern .410's, this ".410/12mm CHOKE" has a slender frame that matches the chambering. Action is tight, trigger decent, and the ejector snaps out shells briskly. There's an old split in the buttstock, and some missing wood at the stock/receiver junction, but I can easily repair those. Pretty sure the chambering is 2 1/2", like my Winchester Model 41. Overall condition is very good for its age, and it came with a nice padded canvas carrying case.
