I haven't gotten to wring either of these out with a wide range of ammo choices, because that is impossible right now. But with the little thats on hand, I haven't hoarded, I gotta say I shoot the Single-Six better. I'm not ready to say it's more accurate. That's something else altogether. My 22-45 is a 5 1/2", the Single-Six is a 6 1/2". The Single-Six has a leg off, spring-wise and more rounds down range. Still, how do find them in comparison ? None of the shooting was from a bench. Just backyard range offhand, brats on the burn barrel, a beer nearby shooting. steve

Well, I have several Single-Sixes, and several 22/45's. Some of each of them do better than others & visa-versa. I just "swapped" a RST-6 for a 22/45 LITE this weekend. Today I got to shoot the new LITE & found it shoots very low & "open" so far. Going to have to see what I can do about that. (I did adjust the rear sight some but I'm running out of elevation.)
As Ty stated, some hand guns shoot like gangbusters, some are so-so, and some are terrible. I had (notice I HAD) a 5-1/2 inch stainless Redhawk .44 that shot 8" groups at 25 yards from a rest. I could then pick up a 6-1/2 inch .357 Blackhawk and shoot a 1-1/2 inch group.... same shooter, same day, same range.
If the primary use of the 22/45 is paper-punching, you might try the Volquartsen kit..... hammer, sear, trigger, & trigger return spring. If it still can't match the Single Six.... well, there are some things you just have to accept.... or sell the 22/45.
