Took my NM Single Six and did a little 'upgrading' to it.
It is the middle gun in this photo:

Removed the 'billboard' from the barrel (no photo)

After MUCH filing and polishing we have the finished product:

I'm working on a Single Six upgrade as well. Mine's an old model. Cutting barrel to 4 5/8", installing a gold bead front and shallow V rear sight, trigger job. I'll post pics when finished as well.
I'll be waiting to see that. I was considering cutting the barrel down to 3" but don't, at this time, have all the tools I need to do the drilling and tapping for the sights and ejector housing. It is still a 'thought in progress'.

I just finished putting my new grips on today from my ongoing upgrades. All I need now is a 6-40 thread plug (posted and help me ad in the smith forum) to close up the front sight hole. Looks like this upgrade thing is contagious....better than the current measles outbreak

John Gallagher called today, my OM Super Single Six upgrade is done. Had him cut the 6 1/2" barrel to 4 5/8" and install a brass bead front/wide V rear sight setup. I think my .44 Special conversion on an OM flattop .357 frame is ready as well. I'll post pics as soon as I pick them up from John. Your SS looks great! Enjoy.
Regards,
Ken
