I just broke down and bought a 6.5" Single Six that apparently no one wanted. I spotted it over a month ago at my LGS and it looked new and priced at $225.00. I didn't need it so I thought to myself that someone was gonna get a right fair deal with that one. I have been back in there 4 times since and today I was just bored enough to break down and buy the poor little thing. I have an OM that shoots lights out and really didn't want or need it but hey, if they are gonna give it away then why not. I had purchased a fluted magnum cylinder quite awhile ago for my OM, which didn't quite fit, but it seems to fit this gun perfectly at first glance in the obvious areas. Any easy way to verify timing? If this cylinder ends up working as is then I got myself a cheap high quality 22 maggie and will keep this bad boy.

Generally, most of us have found that spare cylinder do not have timing issues,, even when off different guns. If you can find a range rod that fits the bore you can check it,,, or a good gunsmith can check it for you.
