I’m trying to figure out just what I have here. The box and gun don’t seem to match. Yellow box with red label: “New Model Super “Single-Six” Stainless Steel Revolver, Catalog No. KNR-6, 6 ½” Bbl.” The gun is a Blue Single-Six Bisley with a Stainless Steel grip frame, s/n: 261-558xx. I can’t find another one like it. Was this a factory gun, or did somebody put the SS grip frame on it? And, is it in the right box?

Thanks for any help you can offer
Ken

Doubt it is a factory "Pinto" but anything is possible. SN should be on the box...yellow box does not sound right, most of mine are gray plastic w/yellow label. Have a couple of red boxes..don't think have ever seen a yellow.

Will follow this thread for information.

does it look like this one?? had it some years ago.......

maybe a different label??I'd say yours has the wrong box and /or lable.... never know these days.......

Yep, that is the same as the one I have. Looking at the boxes, in your pic, I see that it has a model number and so it must be a factory gun. The box, that came with my gun, is just the wrong box!

Thanks for the input. It IS appreciated.

Interesting. Did you guys notice how close the serial numbers of your revolvers were - same gun?

One this is for sure: the gun you have is FAR more valuable and rare than the gun the box is marked for. There were two of the SS frame guns like yours in the pawn/gunshop in Wildwood Florida about 20 years ago that I drooled over several times. He had a HIGH price on them, and they were brand new. Eventually they sold and value has continued to go up on those. A rare and highly desirable item.
