Tenacity and perseverance can, at times, pay off. I knew it was coming in the mail today and I was outside watching for the mailman. Super excited to have it in my stable.

I found this in Dougan's book regarding their existence. I reached out to him, and he wasn't sure how they were used. I was kind of hoping someone on here would educate me/us on them.

In investment casting, that's called a burnout. They're mounted on a "tree" in multiples and form the cavities in the mold that quickly melt and are flushed out once it's filled with molten steel. I imagine that's quite a rare find in the Ruger collecting world!

I've heard of them doing that with wax but not with plastic.
