I just put a very nice non-converted three screw flattop, fixed sight, 6.5 inch Single-Six Convertible on layaway.
Couldn't resist the charms of the old gun which is in about 90-95%. Main wear area is the turn line and bolt notches on the .22 LR cylinder. .22 Mag cylinder looks unused and is in the original red pouch/cardstock box. Walnut grips are very nice and the barrel shows no holster wear. Comes with its original black cardboard box and owners manual too, which are much more worn than the revolver.

Nice score.

My first Single Six was my birth year, 1969. Even though I can't seem to hit squat with it I still like it. It shoots high with any ammo I put through it. I am looking for a birth year, birth month Super Six so that I can hit what I aim at.

Sounds like you got a nice package there. Congrats! To clarify things a bit,, the term "flattop" is only for the 357's & 44 mags made before 1963. (We are just talking OM's here.) Many folks think that the SS is a flattop because of the fixed sights. Common mistake! NOT critizing you,,, just helping you become a better educated Ruger lover! :D

That revolver is not a 'fixed sight' type it is a 'drift adjustable. The NR-5 and -6 are 'fixed sight' models.

Fox Mike is correct,,, ! I was hopefully trying to correct the Flattop portion, and I know it's a drift adjustable only rear vs a regular adjustable rear sight.
BTW; that's a very nice looking package. You did just fine!
