Hello,
I just looked at a Single-Six (262-prefix) that appeared to have a bright (polished)stainless finish; I know that Ruger did produce some of their other revolvers in a bright stainless finish at one time, but wanted to know if I could get any confirmation from the other members of this forum that this was a correct finish for a Single-Six of this era (1990-1993) and not something a previous owner chose to do at home (the .22 Magnum cylinder also has the same bright finish). Thanks for any help/information you can share with me,

RENE list GKNR5 and GKNR6 as being made from serial number 262-87067 to serial number 263-39160. Only 500 to 600 made. Very Scarce.

"GK" stands for High Polish Stainless. "NR" stands for New Model Single-Six Revolver. and the "5" and "6" stands for 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 in. barrels.

Hope this helps.
