Having a bad lung infection and needing to stay home, I wanted to load up some .44 specials but alas, no brass. None locally (no surprise) and Starline doesn't sell the 100 count retail bags (I don't need or want 500) on their site, and the online dealers are very proud of their used and new .44 special brass.

So since I'm stuck at home and now awash in .44 magnum brass sitting empty I got out my Harbor Freight Mini chop saw and cut cleaned up and ground off the MAG stamp on the head on 100 pieces.

Now with the 100 factory loads I bought I have enough for a decent outing. I don't know why I didn't buy a mini chop saw long ago!

Sorry to read that Gnappi.

Lung problems hit me today, as well. Nasty cough.

That mini chop saw sounds like a big help.

Dang, lung infections are not funny. Get well soon!

If I had known that you needed some.44 spl brass, I’d have tried to scrounge up some for you. I don’t think I have any new brass except for my very special “Callshot” stuff. But I could have found some fired pieces.

Thanks Tyrone, the thought is much appreciated. Funny but a while back a user on another forum gave me some .44 magnum brass and among it was a lot of .44 special. Since I'd "NEVER" reload the .44 special I gave it away... DUH! But, I learned a couple of lessons...

Lesson 1, Never say never
Lesson 2 It's really OK to keep stuff I don't use
