I had a visitor yesterday- my cousin that we raised was down to visit his Mother in the nursing home and stopped by fr a visit. Of course, I had to show him my suppressed 10-22 and let him shoot some. He's not as much of a "gunny" as I but still knowledgeable. I just had to show off a little by doing the "send a pair" (double tap or whatever you want to call it). He had been ringing the 100 yard 8" diameter gong (which is actually about 110 from the yard gate post) fairly frequently. I took the rifle and verified where to aim with a couple of singles and then sent a pair. Pfft,Pfft and Ding, Ding. Two in the air before the first hits. He was impressed and his Daughter who's into target shooting was totally amazed. She's used to "shoot one and study the target" sort of shooting.
When I get caught up with work and farm stuff, I'm going to work on 3 or maybe 4. I'm confident of getting 3 but 4 is twice as hard as 3.

Sounds like you are doing your part to keep the shooting sports alive with a little fun thrown in! If you get 4,,, we need video proof!

Definitely love to see 4 on video. That's great that his daughter shoots too.

Tom has a good video cam so may give that a try. Using the can, we should be able to run the volume high enough to record the hits w/o a muzzle blast problem.

While test firing my new(to me) 10-22 barrel, I did manage to get 3 bullets in the air before the sound of the first hit reached me. Downside is I'm not getting all 3 to hit the 8" swinger consistently. Still working on it. Just barely get 2 in the air with HV ammo. The diff between 1020 and 1250 fps is noticeable.
Today I tried the 2 in the air with my 22/45 with red dot. Again, speed isn't the difficulty, it's getting both bullets on the 8" swinger at speed. In 5 tries, I got only one pair in the air with both on target.
Actually not too shabby considering this is @ 100 yards. Geez, I wish I'd had a gun like this when I was younger and had the eyes for it.

A suppressed 10/22? Now that sounds like tons of fun!

I have one with a trigger kit from E.A.Brown. If you are . . . very . . . careful
as you pull the trigger (concentrating on . s l o w . pull) it will triple. I had a
funny one as I found out it would do that. One of the guys at the club
came over and was YELLING at me that it was unsafe and I should not
be shooting it. I pulled out the almost empty mag and put in a full one.
I then said "HERE, you shoot it." He did and it shot one . at . a . time.
He did five rounds that way, looked VERY puzzled and handed my rifle
back to me. - - - - I wasn't about to tell him about it being the slow and
steady pull, with the rifle on a sandbag rest that made the triple possible.

When you are standing, you hold the gun tighter to your shoulder and
tend to pull it in to your shoulder (DUH!), so the recoil can not move the
gun enough to reset the trigger. . :D . :D

P.S. It puts all three in one inch at fifty yards (measured with the 1" grid
on the target :D ). I got three consecutive sets of three in one inch that
way. :D :D :D

Amazing what a sand-bag rest and gentle pull does. 8)
(when you have a good trigger, and use a gentle hold)
