Here is the guy's ad he said he would take $525.00 I would like to know how easy these are to sell I have a speed six and other .357's so might want to sell the gun maybe? These don't seem to be selling for much on GB your opinion's please.

Here is his ad, ammo is loose! but seperated

"Hi, I am selling my Ruger GP 100 .357 Magnum. The gun is in GREAT shape and comes with a ton of extras. You get the following: The Gun, 3 Speed Loaders, 6 Snap Caps, Ruger Lock, Case ( with all original paperwork ) and 1278 rounds of ammo ( 1100 .38 and 178 .357 Magnum ). The ammo brakes down like this. 562 rounds of Federal .38 SPL+P hollow point, 147 rounds of CCI .38 SPL hallow point, 229 rounds of Winchester .38 SPL+P (range ammo), 120 rounds of Winchester .38 SPL+P Personal Protection, 42 rounds of Winchester .38 SPL+P hollow point and 178 rounds of .357 Magnum+P.I have NEVER had any issues or problems with this gun, its a REAL straight shooter!!"

Well ~ if new ammo is $20 per box of 50 rounds, that figures to be 40 cents per round. He has 1278 rounds X .40 = $511.20 for the ammo alone. The ammo being "loose" raises some questions for me. Reloads? Old? The description makes it sound like new ammo but, I'd want to check to be sure.

If it's NEW ammo and you need it or don't reload, it's a smoking deal.

Also, is the gun blue or stainless? 3, 4 or 6 inch? Full or half lug?

The ad doesn't say the ammo is loose, if its factory (and it looks most likely to be), its a smoking deal no matter what model of GP.

he says it is new ammo the gun was his son's who now wants a dog. after talking to him I am sure he did not reload them but could still be reloads. is there a easy way to tell if they are reloads? it is a 4" blue full underlug.

The way it's listed it sounds like factory ammo, or at least it's being represented that way. Either way if you plan on doing a lot of shooting it's a real steal. I like the 4" full underlug. Prefer Stainless but I've been wooed both ways for the right deal before. Depends, if a good deal is important to you, well you may have found it. If you want what you want and that is stainless or a different barrel length then I'd wait.

I have a blue 2 3/4" speed six so i think this would be a nice addition. I personally don't care for barrels longer than 4" That being said I have a 6" 686 plus that shoots very well. I wasn't really looking for another gun but this I think is a pretty good deal
