Service six

looking at a 4'' service six 38 stainless real nice gun. What would be a good price and are they rare? the guy doesn't know what he wants for the gun and i don't want to
offend him. thanks

Not really rare, but you don't see them for sale as often as you used to. Condition and accessories (box, instruction manual, original grips) are important to the price, but nowadays for just a shooter grade gun, anywhere under $400 is probably a good deal for the buyer if the gun is mechanically sound and not all scobbed up.

Yeah, although IMO being a .38 Spl instead of the .357 would make it somewhat less desirable to most people. $400 doesn't go far anymore.
