I don’t know if anyone keeps up with the old numbers but I got to see an old Blackhawk and it had 862 on it. It was nickel plated and in great condition. 4 & 3/4 barrel..... Oh, it had real stag grips on it too.

I was posting because I know some of you keep up the this older stuff and this one is tucked away where hardly anyone would ever see it...

Just posting in case anyone keeps up with this stuff.... I assume it was nickel plated after it left factory ???

The gentleman who publishes RENE (member name chet15) tracks this stuff ~ and of course so do many other members and collectors.

A phone call to the ladies in Rugers records department might clear up how that s/n left the factory.

Regardless, it's neat to see such low numbers.

According to Bob's List, other .357 guns in that serial number range shipped from The Factory in December of 1955.

But yes, a call to Ruger will confirm that. It's doubtful if it was shipped plated . . . but you just never know.

Great discovery. Thanks for sharing.

:)

It's not mine.....

I just got my hands on it for a little bit and I wrote the number down so I could post it. I know some folks look for numbers and I wanted them to know it was seen and it was plated....

Yall have a nice day... :)

Hey must be something in the air.....I had #108 357 in my hands this weekend....also not mine but I do have a phone number    see ya RR.
