My Security 9 is new and I'm a new shooter. I've been to the range four times with it. Last visit, a few times rounds failed to eject and the firearm jammed. It happened with two different magazines.
The range guy helped me clear it and said that it's probably not broken in. I'm diligent about cleaning and lubricating it after every outing. Would you agree that it's a matter of breaking it or do you think it's a matter of a bad extractor ?
BTW I really appreciate everyone's help on other matters I posted about

I don't buy into the "break in" excuse. It's not a baseball glove. It should work first time and every time assuming it is properly lubed.

For me, the most common things causing problems are ammo, mags or limp wrist.

First I'd have a buddy shoot it to make sure it's not MY problem; something I'm doing wrong.
Shoot it while sitting, resting on sandbags or something of the sort.
Use a good quality FMJ factory ammo ….. even Winchester White box or Brazer will do.
Avoid steel case.
Make sure the gun performs the same way with each mag you own.

No doubt you'll get it figured out.
Best of luck to you.

Make sure that your grip is tight. Your hand is providing resistance for the frame and slide to function.
Otherwise known as limp wristing.
Be sure all cartridges are always pushed to the back of the magazine.
Read the manual about proper lubrication of the slide and other moving parts.
Feel free to work the slide, unloaded, no magazine to help break in the parts.
Just a few suggestions.

Thanks I just saw a video and I think limp wrist is the issue. I'm 72 and a new shooter. I never thought about my wrists as the issue

And remember using a TWO hand grip to keep your left thumb down so the slide don't cut your knuckle.
Unless you're LEFT handed like me and then the ding is on your right thumb.

As a new shooter and a senior I'm starting to think my wrist is the issue
