So once again we have a scandal in the SS. Some agents got drunk and drove their car into the White House gates.
Think about it, how would you feel going to work every day knowing you're obligated to take a bullet for him?

You have to ask yourself, if the level of training and stress required to be a good SSA is so tough, why would anyone want to take a bullet for the collective POS politicos they are charged with protecting in the USA right now. That is some twisted up stuff, knowing that pretty much everyone hates the people you have to protect with your own life

You have to realize these guys were at a retirement party in the city, when a woman drove up, tossed a package at the White House guard shack yelling it was a bomb. I'll bet a panic button somewhere was pushed requesting all available personnel return to base til the situation was cleared up. These guys being supervisory personnel, appeared and probably didn't think they were impaired.

Why do so many swabbies want to be SEALS? Or GI's want to be Delta? For quite a few, I'm guessing it's not the job they have to do but the status of the position.

I think it's one thing to do your duty for God and Country when you're serving in the field, and quite another to provide personal protection for someone who, up close and personal, is totally despicable. Hve you noticed that the problem seems confined to the presidential detail?

In a different time and place, but similar circumstances, the Praetorian Guard effected "regime change", on more than one occasion.

Too bad they're not hammered when he's in the car.

I had dealings with them once when they were still part of the Treasury Department. They were outstanding. They were the crown jewels of the Treasury and always got what they needed. Now they are near the bottom of the food chain of Homeland Security and it shows.

It ALSO might depend on HOW the "President" and his First Lady TREAT their SS details; Obama I've heard is quite disdainful and so is the fat moocher. I heard that Shillary C. absolute loathed them and acted that way. On the other hand, they said that Nixon, Reagan and one of the Bushes was quite thoughtful and considerate in regard to his SS detail.

I could not be a SSA for the present administration. I liked President Nixon. I do have a signed white house official numbered picture of him. It was autographed to a SSA that guarded him. The way I got it: My aunt ran a cafe in San Clemente. She was nearing retirement when he resigned. There was a empty ma and pa service station next door that she bought thinking both together might make her place more sellable.
Two supposedly retired SSA`s rented it from her and opened up a flower shop. (Sounds like a corny movie script doesn't it?) You could see Nixon's compound about a mile down the road. They were there awhile and finally quit. I was helping Aunt Isla clean the place and found Nixon's picture on the floor. Its a black and white, about 8 X 10"s. Signed in ink to officer -----, and a official numbered White House Photo on the back. What do you suppose that would be worth?

Great book by Gary Aldrich called "Unlimited Access" gives details into just how bad Hillary C is. She made no secret of her disdain for the SS and let them know it.
