Is there a difference in Ruger scope rings for a 77/22 and M77 center fire?
My target gray 77/22 came with rings way too short for my scope. I was told I only need one ring to fix this. I'm not so sure, my new scope has a 50mm front objective. I see in Brownells some but not all Ruger rings have a number cast in the front of the ring. My factory rings have no numbers cast in the front. Are they marked some where that I'm not seeing?
Is there a better place to buy rings then Brownells?
Thanks

if there is not enough room in between the rings you would need the "off set" type/style of rings, if the the height is not enough , you need higher rings, most come with med or standard they even make an "extra" high...then if the tube diameter is bigger than the 'standard' 1 inch, you may need to go to 30 mm rings,,,and on and on...look on the back of the package for other options.........yes at times the simple change of just ONE ring, being the "offset" variety may solve your problem.....then of course there is blue, stainless, in matte or target gray finishes...........................
