Scope Mount Help

Greetings-
My new M77 Hawkeye in .30-06 came with two different sized scope rings- medium and tall.
Right or wrong?

Right. It requires 2 different heights.

That is correct. The integral scope bases on the receiver are two different heights. So you need the two different height rings to come out level.The tall ring is used in the rear the short one in the front.
