Scammers Everywhere, and Not Very Smart

On a local forum, the same gun is advertised five different times, in four different cities, all called Dallas.

There's Dallas Oklahoma, Dallas California, Dallas Kentucky, and Dallas Texas.

Same ads. Same photos.

Pretty obvious to me that someone is up to no good, but every day I'm seeing this stuff. They must be successful at least once in a while, or why would they continue these ads?

When somebody copies and pastes from legitimate identical ads and claims them as their own, hoping you'll send him a check in the mail is the point.

Another recent ad is from Kathmandu Arkansas. S'pose there's one of them in all of the 57 states, too? I know there's at least one more, as there was an ad from Kathmandu Florida not long ago.

Could be the person running all these scam ads is the same feller I talked to from Pakistan last week, concerning my Verizon issues. :mrgreen:
