anyway here is what Don W pointed out to us in the "right" direction at the Maumee show this Saturday AM, alas they are still looking for the "other" cylinder, and the gun was never fired...................shipped dec 1969

true, and it amazes us, that the gun, box and papers can all be together, BUT the cylinder ( and it would have been in the little box and a red bag) are "gone"??? and the cylnder in the gun, is the "magnum" one??? So it could to have been
"switched" at some time.............we always thought they were shipped with the 'LR' cylinder in place........

If you are a true collector that would not be a problem. If you are a shooter then it would be very very hard not to shoot it. Of course if you had a few more .22 to shoot you could probably resist the temptation. But I agree, it would take some self control. :?

That one is still very nice even without cy. :!: love that brown paper :) So many without that extra cy. makes me :cry: how in the world did that get gone from that great box--gun ???just part of the deal--been there several times :x

I find that odd too but ..... my local gun store, a small mom and pop shop, has had FOUR old model Single or Super Single Six convertables in the past year. EVERY one of them had ONLY the Mag cylinder with them. (???)

wow, that is about the same thing we have seen around here too, last 4 or 5 what should have been '
convertibles, all only had the "mag" cylinder......my guess is people are taking out and keeping the 22 LR for "spares"??? but then again, lately the ONLY cylinders I've seen "extra" (for sale) on tables have been
"mags"....very strange observation.....we'll blame it on the weather.....
