Santa's Helpers

This evening the local Volunteer Fire Department, and Santa, made is annual 'Christmas drive-by' . They come down each neighborhood street with the rescue truck followed by two of the fire trucks, lights flashing and an occasional siren 'toot' . If you walk out to meet then they give out candy canes to all. Santa informed us we were on his "naughty" list in 1983 but have since been removed.

The local sheriffs do the same type of thing. My area has a pretty good relationship with them (we're mostly a quite bunch) and show our appreciation when we can.

Just to clarify a bit we are not in the city but rather a rural area, so they travel a good distance between neighborhoods.

I have no idea! We had only been here 1 1/2 years. No roudy kids OR parties. I think he was just jeering the wife's chain.
