Safety blade locking up trigger pull

Neither my LCPII or my Security 9 have ever given me any problem with the safety blade stopping the trigger engaging the fire control module. My new 75th Anniversary LCP Max trigger safety blade will frequently freeze the trigger movement rearward which could be fatal if it happens when/if I need to engage an assailant. I know what I want to do but I thought I’d ask for suggestions from the Forum Members before applying my method for solving this problem.

With you using the word "frequently" in your description of the malfunction, the first thing I would do is to give Ruger customer service a call and see what they say. As you said, you don't need this happening at the wrong moment. There could be other things that might be the cause, finger placement, how you grip the gun each time, how the gun actually fits your hand, etc. But a call to Ruger can't hurt at all.

I appreciate your response, Ronin. But calling Ruger for such a mundane solution is not what I really want to do. That's why I came to the owners on this forum to find out if anyone else has experienced a "glitch" such as this and how they resolved it. It may be that others have contacted Ruger with the same complaint and I'd really like to hear from them, too.
Judicious use of a #11 resonates in my mind until all solutions are visited.
Thanks again, Ronin, but let's look at other responses thru the weekend.

I’ve never had such a problem with any similar trigger.
Some may say this is more than a glitch and in a “need to engage an assailant” it’s truly a matter of life and death.

I too would alert Ruger asap.
I sure as heck wouldn’t let my life depend on it.
