Mike...Like I have been telling other collectors for years; I have the best of both worlds, collecting Ruger 44 Magnums and S&W 44 Magnums. Hard to beat that. I also throw in a Colt SAA in 44 Special every now and then. :)

I keep repeating this,, but it's hard NOT to covet such nice guns!

OK, just to keep these awesome Supers up near the top of the thread I'll do a "bump".

It came from the farm country of eastern South Dakota. The owner's name is crudely engraved on the "back strap". Case? It ain't got no stinking case...... :D

flatgate

PS It came with plastic pearls, too!

Aren't all the sub 300~ Supers a long frame?[/quote]

Not Really.

The Long Frame Super Blackhawks serial numbers range from #4 thru #3111 I believe. The Highest Long Frame I own is #2957 & Ruger1441 has #2971. The lowest Long Frame # I own is #9 & it shipped in a White Box. Serial #6 is a High Polished Standard Frame Mahogany Box.
